Ex-JPMC chief Dr Seemin Jamali dies with cancer. 


Dr Seemin Jamali passed away after a long battle with cancer at the age of 61, her family confirmed on Saturday evening.

Dr Seemin Jamali is also known as an iron lady or bullet lady.

Dr Seemin Jamali had been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020.

Dr Seemin Jamali's husband had said she was admitted to the hospital after her condition worsened last Friday.

Early life and career.

Dr Seemin Jamali was born to Ghulamullah Din Muhammad Memon.

Dr Seemin Jamali journey started in Nawabshah where she attended medical school.She also received a master's degree in Public Health Management from Thailand. She joined Jinnah Hospital to serve the people of Pakistan in 1988. In November 2016, Started serving as the executive director for JPMC, which is one of the largest public health care facilities in the country. Dr Seemin Jamali receives Medal of Excellence for her exceptional services in the field of medicine.

She retired from the service in August 2021.

People's reaction on her death.


" Her services during the COVID-19 pandemic are also unforgettable," Foreign Minister and Pakistan People's party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in a statement.


" Dr Seemin Jamali was Pakistan's pride," added the information minister.

Dr Jamali bravely rendered valuable services in the world of medicine which were also appreciated globally.
